Commissioner Jeff Wolfe

Jeff Wolfe

Jeff Wolfe is a current County Commissioner and sits on the Board of Commissioners as the District 3 member, which consists of Center (1-17), Worth, (1 & 2) / Lebanon, and Whitestown.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and has completed over 600 hours of training in the real estate appraisal industry, including his continuing education requirements.

He is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and has practiced in Boone County and all surrounding counties for the past 28 years. He operates his small business Wolfe Appraisals from his home in Lebanon. He and his wife also invest in foreclosed homes where they enjoy bringing a home back to marketable condition and helping the neighborhoods in the process by removing a distressed property.

Jeff states “I am very proud of the accomplishments of the county commissioners since I have been on the board. We have been involved in several major economic development projects and I feel particularly fortunate to have had the opportunity to be involved in the first major economic development in the town of Jamestown and to have worked closely with the local leaders there to create the environment for future opportunities.”

Jeff has also enjoyed the commissioners’ efforts to make the facilities the county owns and operates safe, energy efficient, and ready for the future growth in the county. One project in particular is making the Boone County jail a model of energy efficiency with a new geothermal heating and cooling system, which is expandable with the building. The commissioners have also acquired two downtown buildings within the past few years and have turned one of them into a quality office environment for the Boone County Prosecutor’s office.

Another commissioner initiative with which Jeff is pleased to be affiliated is the addition of the Highway engineer. In addition, the commissioners have put forth effort to create systems and a culture within the highway department to ensure the county roads and bridges are maintained properly and that the county road system is prepared for the future growth of the county.

Jeff likes to work and to be productive but, when not working, he spends most of his time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoys playing guitar and singing with his wife, Anita. They help with music at Pleasant View Church where Jeff has been a member since he was a child. He also enjoys working on cars. Jeff and Anita have a 1958 Cadillac Sedan Deville that they like to tinker with. Jeff also attempts to play golf and ride his Harley Davidson Fatboy when he can.
